Do you want the truth or the diplomatic one? The diplomatic one, I'm motivated by the ambitious drive of the company to move forward in the challenging IT industry. What interest me the most is the culture of the company is quite different from a normal IT house that is fully task-oriented, it also produces a lot of fun, laughter and a caring environment. The truth is I’m truly motivated by the benefits given to me and my family for working here. I’m a true Red Devil’s die hard fans, and AIG as the main sponsor for my favorite football club very much interest me in all sense.

What do you like best about your current roles and responsibilities?

I love my current role and responsibility as a Wintel Engineer, handling daily operation task on Wintel boxes. This is because I finally got the right environment to learn and practice new things at the very fast pace. I hope I can improve a lot on my technical and soft skills as well, cause I’m dealing with the customers and users directly in a vendor environment.

What makes you stay at AIG Global Services?

A better career advancement, fast learning environment, opportunity to meet new faces and get to know all our colleagues, should be my main objective for staying in AIG Global Services.

What do you feel about the working atmosphere and culture in AIG Global Services?

Working atmosphere is tremendously busy, lots of pressure ofr not performing up to standards and many more incidents and events going on. It could be happy, enjoyable, delightful or funny. Talking about the culture in this company, you better don’t ask, if not you would love to work here for a very long time. It’s very young (the company is still young comparing to AIG itself), fast pace (nobody is waiting for one another to get things done), lively (everybody seems to be highly motivated), energetic (when comes to play, it’s called crazy), less office politics (so little that it’s hardly seen, or well hidden?), and sense of belonging (some of them is treating this as the first home, and their own home is classified as hotel). 

AIG Global Services is one of the outsource for AIG which is among the leading companies in America, Financially strong with lots of opportunity and wonderful working culture.

What do you like best about your current roles and responsibilities?

Being a team lead and technical specialist, lots of improvements on communication/public relation within the team, which utilize/sharing available skills to improve the on going business need.

What makes you stay at AIG Global Services?

Getting the necessary recognition from our Malaysia and US counterparts. Being an AIGGS employee also promotes opportunity to grow and further enhance technical and management skills.

What do you feel about the working atmosphere and culture in AIG Global Services?

It has a very healthy way of working that is not mostly practice by other organizations. Having such practices here, it’s easy to communication between any levels within the organization and this promotes family ties.

My post is Wintel Engineer, supporting L2, L3. I like to support server both locally and overseas. GGaining new rules and procedure, style & experience, learn and improve my technical skills on Windows.

What do you feel about the working atmosphere and culture in AIG Global Services?

Working with procedures, approval and bureaucracy, which is quite good with its pros and cons. Good working culture, staffs are friendly and helpful.

As a subsidiary under AIG--a world renowned insurance company, AIGGS has its potential to grow rapidly in software development for AIG's operation.

What do you like best about your current roles and responsibilities?

As a fresh graduate, I was given various opportunities in some internal as well as external projects with guidance. From there, I was able to gain some experiences in gathering requirements, software development, deployment, as well as some support tasks.

What makes you stay at AIG Global Services?

I was given opportunities in various projects which provided a really good learning place for me to sharpen my skills in software development. I am also grateful to the management for showing appreciation for staffs' contribution by giving award like Employee of the Quarter and some rewards for accomplishing certain certification. Besides that, I appreciate the company-subsidised training which includes technical training as well as non-technical training for character building. What's more? I like the activities carried out on our own such as sports carnival, team building, social visit, family day, etc which is meant for strengthening the bond among colleagues besides having fun!

What do you feel about the working atmosphere and culture in AIG Global Services?

I like the working environment where seniors will always mentor the juniors with patience.Besides that, people here are friendly, young and energetic, and not to mention the enthusiasm to create a big family among colleagues.

To explore into different technology that applies to work (Eg : From Cobol on Unix move on to Cobol on Mainframe). Also to learn the domain of insurance.

What do you like best about your current roles and responsibilities?

Being able to concentrate and focus on my job as per job description as a software engineer. Eg : Conversion team purely does conversion. Ingenium team purely does ingenium stuff, me on the other hand, supports AIA KL, means perform UR / PIR as when is neccessary.

What makes you stay at AIG Global Services?

The people, the healthy relationship among staffs and managements. Apart from that, being a staff here myself, I am able to feel the appreciation from bosses, team leads and management too.

What do you feel about the working atmosphere and culture in AIG Global Services?

Working atmosphere is not as tense and tension as those offices in KL, perhaps it could be due to the way the cubicles are set up, which made all of us equals. (Eg : Big bosses doesn't neccessarily sits in a room, instead, they are just like any of the staffs). But in terms of environment design, it is definitely not as nice and cosy as other big companies design. They have very good working culture, and I strongly agree and hope this will continue and move on.
