AIGGS performed data conversion to convert an insurance system that resided on the IBM mainframe to a new system running in AS400. The source database had a hierarchical structure (DL1) and the target base had a relational structure (DB2). The project included identifying and understanding the source data, mapping them to the target and coding programs to create the target database.
