Visit to Rumah Sayangan 2005

Kuala Lumpur, October 8, 2005 - On a bright Saturday morning of October 8th, Software International (AIGGS) paid a visit to Rumah Sayangan - a home for underprivileged, abused, abandoned & orphaned children to donate much needed funds for the center as well as to spread some joy to the children.

The Home which has been caring for less fortunate children was set-up in 1989. To date, more than 70 children have lived in the Home and a large majority of them have been successfully reconciled with their loved ones/next of kin. At this moment there are 16 children residing in the Home.

The day began with a get-to-know each other session followed by fun and games with a clown who added additional excitement & colors to the event. With the children warming up to the adults, it was indeed a wonderful & memorable scene with much noise, laughter & joy from everyone.

A donation was made to the Home Manager, Ms Susan Looi, comprising individual contributions from staff of AIGSI, a contribution from the company, and one from our Chairman, Puan Sri Irene Lee who was also present on this special and meaningful day. "Congratulations to our staff for their wonderful team effort of sharing and caring with all the children individually and together", she said after the presentation.

In a world where people are busy with their everyday lives, this memorable event was made possible by staff who were willing and able to sacrifice the time for a worthy cause. Touching lives is so innate in each of us and if we strive to consciously make an effort, it is not only rewarding to those who receive but also to those who give.
