In May 1998, American International Group, Inc. (AIG) and Software International Corporation established a joint venture in Malaysia called AIG-Software International JV Sdn Bhd. Its purpose was to provide IT and application software solutions for AIG’s operations around the world.

The operation, renamed AIG Global Services in 2008, continues to provide world-class infrastructure services to AIG businesses – as well as other corporate groups throughout the world.
